5 PERFECT STARS!!!!

Siegel's second book is as compelling as her debut. Charlie and Dominic's love story continues where A Good Girl left off on a bit of mystery. I won't say what that mystery was, you will have to read to find out! What I will say is that Charlie is trying to keep the past in the past.
There is definitely plenty of drama, suspense and angst within the pages of Almost Perfect. I enjoyed the story tremendously, but let me tell you, there were several moments I wanted to throw my kindle! The passion and humor within these chapters was much needed, and I did appreciate those moments.
Siegel's writing gripped my heart and did not let go throughout the entire book. I really loved the conclusion to this beautiful story about friendship, soul mates and staying true to yourself. Thank you so much Jenny for the love story of Charlie and Dominic. I will never forget them!

A great follow up with lots of lessons

This was a follow up to "A Good Girl" and there was a lot more angst and sex than I was expecting. However, given the ages and lives of the characters, it was to be expected.
In this story, we get to see how Charlie and Dominic's relationship continue to play out. Gone is the "everything is fantastic" vibe we got in "A Good Girl". In this book, they have to fight for their relationship. Both of them made mistakes, but I'm glad that they took the time to air out their concerns and difficulties. One thing I liked about this book was that it didn't sugarcoat their problems - even though Charlie and Dominic would have liked that. I liked that we were given a front row seat to how lack of communication can ruin even the most stable of relationships.
Another thing I loved about this book was that the friendship between Iris and Charlie was still as strong as ever even though their lives were moving in different directions. I think this is a very important point and I'm glad the author made it work for both girls.
As for the identity of the perpetrator, I was quite surprised - even though it made a lot of sense.
Overall, I did enjoy this book and I'm glad Charlie and Dominic were able to come out stronger and better than ever in the end.

Cute love story!

Charlie and Dominic’s story picks up right where we left off in the first book. Dominic finds out that his brother is marrying his ex, the ex that caused a stir in the first book between him and Charlie. Dominic’s brother is requesting that he put aside his differences with his family and come to the wedding. Charlie accompanies him and meets his entire family as well as some old friends from when Dominic was younger. These old friends make comments that stir up some insecurities with Charlie about her past. On top of this she keeps receiving mysterious pictures and notes from someone bringing her past up and causing tension between her and Dominic.
I really enjoyed this book, the only reason I’m giving a 4 star rating instead of a 5 is because the chapters felt a bit disconnected from one another, especially in the beginning, the flow just wasn’t there. It was still a really enjoyable read for me though, I love Charlie’s sense of humor and the author does a fantastic job at running you through all the emotions her characters are going through. I will definitely be checking out the next book!
